PinCodeHub — Delete Account & Data

PinCodeHub lets you delete your account directly inside the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. After deletion you are signed out and returned to the login screen. You may create a new account later with the same email, but previous data will not be restored.

Warning: If you are a merchant, deleting your account also deletes your shop(s), product listings, ads, travel/rental listings, and related marketplace data tied to your account.

How to delete your account (in the app)

Follow these steps on your Android device:

Open PinCodeHub Sign in with the email and password for the account you want to delete.
Go to Profile / Account settings Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar, or open Account & settings from the app menu.
Scroll to the bottom Below the Sign out button you will see a red Delete account button (not shown for super-admin accounts).
Confirm deletion Read the confirmation dialog carefully. Tap Delete forever to proceed, or Cancel to keep your account.
Done Your account data is removed from our systems, you are signed out, and the app returns to the login screen.

Super admin accounts cannot be self-deleted from the app. If you need a super-admin account removed, contact support@pincodehub.app or remove your email from the super_admin_emails table in Supabase before using a normal account.

What data is permanently erased

When you delete your account, PinCodeHub removes the following data associated with your user ID from our database and deletes your authentication record:

What is not erased (or may be retained)

Item	Why it may remain
Partial Uploaded images & videos	Files stored in cloud storage buckets (e.g. shop photos, product media) may not be automatically purged when the database row is deleted. We delete database references immediately; orphaned files may be removed during routine storage cleanup.
Retained Aggregated admin audit logs	Anonymous or administrative approval history entries (e.g. “shop approved”) may be kept for platform operations, fraud prevention, and revenue reporting. These records are not used to restore your account.
Retained Payment processor records	Razorpay may retain payment records under their own policies and legal obligations. PinCodeHub deletes our copy of payment transaction references tied to your user ID.
Retained Legal / tax obligations	We may retain minimal information where required by applicable Indian law, court order, or active dispute investigation, only for as long as legally necessary.
Retained Backups	Deleted data may persist in encrypted database backups for a limited retention window, then is overwritten on the backup cycle. Backups are not used to restore deleted accounts on request.

Merchant account deletion

Merchants can delete their own account using the same in-app steps above. This removes:

Your shop and all products listed under it
Pending or approved listing status (your shop will no longer appear in search)
Marketplace access / paywall state tied to the shop
Ads, travel listings, rental listings, and service-provider profiles you own

Super admins may also delete a merchant account from the Super Admin panel (pending shop queue → Delete account). That permanently removes the merchant’s user account and all associated data listed above.

How long deletion takes

Immediate: Account deletion is processed when you confirm in the app. You are signed out right away.
Database: Profile, listings, and auth user records are deleted in the same operation (typically within seconds).
Storage cleanup: Media files may take additional time to be removed from storage buckets.
Backups: May retain deleted data until the next backup rotation expires.

Cannot access the app?

If you cannot sign in or use the in-app delete button, email us to request account deletion:

Include: the email address registered on your account and a brief confirmation that you want permanent deletion

We may ask you to verify ownership of the email address before processing the request. We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 7 business days.
